Emmanuel Sithole suspects arrested

JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – POLICE have arrested three suspects in Alexandra in connection with the murder of Mozambican national, Emmanuel Sithole, a senior provincial police officer has said.

On Monday, Gauteng provincial police spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini, said the law enforcement agency was hunting for the fourth suspect linked to the murder.

“The suspects were arrested in Alexandra with the help from the members of the community. Several exhibits that may be used as evidence were seized during the arrests,” Lt Col Dlamini said.

He said the South African Police Service (SAPS) arrested the trio on Sunday evening.

The 35-year-old Sithole was killed after anorgy of xenophobic violence in Alexandra.

Sithole was stabbed and died in hospital.

Lt Col Dlamini said the trio will appear at the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday facing murder charge.
