Stuart Baxter ready to lift ABSA premiership trophy

JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – THE Absa Premiership reaches the home stretch this week with a number of key fixtures.

The fixtures will be another platform to condemn the attacks on foreign nationals in the country.

To kick start the week on Tuesday is an encounter between relegation-threatened Free State Stars and top eight hopefuls Ajax Cape Town at Goble Park Stadium in Free State.

A title decider between Kaizer Chiefs and Polokwane City will be played later at the First National Bank Stadium in Johannesburg.

Chiefs will be crowned champions if they secure three points against the visitors.

Defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns will host bogy side Platinum Stars at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria.

The PSL will round off the midweek games with an encounter pitting another Soweto giant, Orlando Pirates with the University of Pretoria at Orlando Stadium in Soweto.

Messages from captains of the teams, denouncing xenophobia, will precede kickoff all matches.

South Africa Football Association and Premier Soccer League have denounced the attacks on foreign nationals.
