JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – KAIZER Chiefs have inched closer to a second league title in three seasons following a narrow victory over University of Pretoria.

They now lead the standings with 13 points with four games left following a 1-0 win over the hosts University of Pretoria on Tuesday.

Siphiwe Tshabalala scored a late free-kick to secure three points.

Chiefs are left with four matches while Mamelodi Sundowns have two games in hand.

Fellow Soweto giants, Orlando Pirates had contrasting fortunes.
