JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – THE South African football fraternity has again been thrust into mourning following the death of ex-national team striker, Richard Henyekane.

The Free State Stars forward (31) died in a car accident in the early hours of Tuesday, four months after the death of his younger brother and former international, Joseph.

The older. Henyekane was travelling with four other passengers when they were involved in a tragic motor vehicle accident.

The former Bafana Bafana forward, who played in Stars’ 1-0 loss at AmaZulu on Saturday, earned nine international caps, and also represented Mamelodi Sundowns and Golden Arrows.

Meanwhile, league action resumes on Wednesday as Orlando Pirates play Platinum Stars at Orlando Stadium.

Mamelodi Sundowns engage Mpumalanga Black Aces at Mbombela.

On Thursday, logleaders Kaizer Chiefs play vastly-improved bottom side Amazulu at Peter Mokaba.
