South Africa ready for “arrogant” Nigeria

Bafana vs Super Eagles of Nigeria

Bafana vs Super Eagles of Nigeria

JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – SOUTH Africa defender, Thulani Hlatshwayo, believes Nigeria will have a point to prove when the two teams meet this weekend.

The two nations meet in an international friendly match on Sunday
afternoon at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.

The clash comes months after Hlatshwayo’s team side ended the Super Eagles’ hopes of qualifying for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

“The Nigeria clash is going to be very interesting. One must remember we were the ones who denied them a chance to defend their AFCON title so they will be coming here with guns blazing and wanting to prove a point.

“The good thing is that lately we enjoy playing against them, they are very arrogant and that is only because they are confident,” said Hlatshwayo.

The centreback played in the first leg of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, which ended 0-0 in Cape Town.

The BidVest Wits captain was however as absent when Bafana Bafana
travelled to Uyo Akwa Ibom Stadium in Nigeria for the second leg, which ended 2-2.
