Italian Angelone appointed new Etisalat publicist

LAGOS, (CAJ News) – ETISALAT Nigeria has announced the appointment of Italian Francesco Angelone as its new Chief Marketing Officer.

Matthew Willsher, Chief Executive Officer of Etisalat Nigeria expressed pleasure at the appointment.

“His (Angelone’s) extensive marketing experience and expertise will be of great value to our strategy as an innovation-driven, customer-focused telecoms business.

“He brings with him the vision, passion and years of experience from diverse environments to improve and strengthen our marketing capabilities as well as enhance our customer experience.

“We look forward to the leadership he will bring to the marketing team,” said Willsher.

Francesco Angelone stated he was delighted to be in Nigeria and was looking forward to the challenge which would further accelerate access to quality products and services for Nigerian customers.

Francesco Angelone, a graduate of Economics from the University of Parma-Italy, started his career in the audit and finance disciplines before joining Telecom Italia as Customer Operations Manager, and later assuming other positions as Project Leader and Financial Controller.

He joins Etisalat Nigeria with over 20 years experience in telecoms marketing having worked in different countries such as Italy, Spain, UK, Brazil, and UAE in telecommunications.

He was previously the Vice President-Commercial at Etisalat Group, where he led various programmes to develop and implement marketing strategies, expand sales and distribution channels, and drive efficiencies.
