LAGOS, (CAJ News) – THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) confirmed the conviction of Anthony Ikechukwu Nwoga, who has been slapped with a seven-year sentence for offences bordering on obtaining by false pretence.

Nwoga who was first arraigned before the Federal High Court Umuahia, Abia State two years ago, was found guilty of the two count charge preferred against him.

He was however given an option of a N500 000 fine.

In addition, he has been ordered to refund the sum of N365 000 to the complainant.
