JOHANNESBURG (CAJ News) – THE top three teams in the Absa Premiership will be involved in tricky midweek encounters as the campaign enters the final stretch.

The main attraction will be at the Bidvest Stadium where a second-meets-third clash is scheduled between Mamelodi Sundowns and hosts Bidvest Wits respectively.

The match is slated for Tuesday, a day before log-leaders Kaizer Chiefs host a resurgent Ajax Cape Town at the FNB Stadium, venue for this weekend’s Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates.

At Bidvest Stadium, Sundowns and Wits will resume the match both sharing the same number of points (37), but only separated by goal difference but the visitors boasting a game in hand.

Across town, Chiefs will start the match on 47 points from 20 games while Ajax, occupying fifth position, have 28 points from the same number of matches played.

In another match scheduled for Wednesday evening, Free State Stars host rejuvenated Pirates at Charles Mopeli Stadium while Chippa United entertain on-form Polokwane City at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

In the only match for Friday, Wits will host Bloemfontein Celtic at Bidvest Stadium.
