Nigeria’s president vows to defeat Boko Haram

LAGOS, (Al Jazeera / CAJ News) – NIGERIAN President Goodluck Jonathan has denied allegations of mishandling the threat from the armed group, Boko Haram.

Instead, Jonathan vowed to defeat Boko Haram, the armed group that has killed thousands of people in his country’s northeast.

In an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera in Lagos, Jonathan denied allegations that his government has mishandled the threat from the group.

But he also expressed fears about violence during the upcoming presidential election which was postponed because of a lack of security.
