LAGOS, (CAJ News) -A European mobile firm said it was building on its success in Nigeria to expand further into the African continent.

Fly, as part of its expansion plans said it would be launching an array of new products, mainly smartphones, in 2015.

Fly, which entered the country last year, said it had already witnessed increased demand for its cutting-edge devices while serving Nigeria’s discerning customers.

“We are building on our fantastic success in Nigeria with our strongest line-up yet of premium products as part of our contribution to help the people of Africa stay connected,” said Nitin Sood, Managing Director, Fly MEA (Middle East and Africa).

Sood said this new range was a further demonstration of their commitment to provide customers with the highest quality of phones at competitive prices.

“Fly has built a very strong reputation in a very short space of time for constantly delivering on innovation and quality, and meeting the needs of our customers.”

Fly intends to leverage opportunities to further expand its reach into African countries, including Mozambique, Kenya, Ghana and South Africa, as a part of its plans to increase its volume by six-fold across the MEA and Turkey markets.

“Sub-Saharan Africa has been the world’s fastest-growing mobile region over the last five years, and as a leader in mobility, we at Fly want to be a part of Africa’s continuous development,” Sood said.

Fly has been well received in the MEA and Turkey markets following the company’s significant achievements in Russia, where it is currently the number one smartphone brand.
