Ghana’s Atsu king of AFCON 2015from RUSSELL ADADEVOH in Accra, Ghana
ACCRA, (CAJ News) – GHANA forward, Christian Atsu has emerged the biggest winner at the just-ended Orange Africa Cup of Nations 2015 awards.
The star striker was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament while his goal against Guinea in the quarterfinals was Guinea was adjudged the best in the tournament.
He capped a fine tournament with the inclusion in the Team of Tournament.
Teammate André Ayew (Ghana), with three goals and two assists, was the highest scorer.
He also made it to the Best XI to make up for the disappointment of losing the final to Ivory Coast.
The champions’ Sylvain Gbohouo was Goalkeeper of the tournament.
Ivory Coast beat Ghana 9-8 on penalties in the finals played in Equatorial Guinea last weekend after a goalless encounter.
