Edna Kiplagat, Priscah Jeptoo and Mary Keitany all vowed to go for gold at the event scheduled for April.
All the three Kenya top female athletes won various international marathon accolades, but at different races.
It is however Keitany who boasts much having won the London Marathon race twice in 2011 and 2012. She will contend her successors including the reigning champion Kiplagat.
Another Kenyan female athlete, Priscah Jeptoo, won the same London Marathon in 2013 before the same title was snatched by Kiplagat in 2014.
This year’s race will be tightly contested considering that all top female Kenyan athletes have set their eyes on the London Marathon.
A major absentee will be world champion Rita Jeptoo, who was handed a two year ban by Athletics Kenya (AK). She was stripped of her numerous titles following after it emerged she used performance-enhancing drugs.
