MALABO, (CAJ News) – HOSTS Equatorial Guinea’s intricate start to the Orange Africa Cup of Nations continued as they played to a goalless draw with Burkina Faso at Bata Stadium in Malabo.

The sides were inseparable after 90 minutes of football at the Estadio de Bata on Wednesday.

It followed the hosts drawing 1-1 with Congo in the opener.

The teams played out a goalless but eventful first half with the hosts goalkeeper, Felipe Ovono, the busier of the two keepers.

He was at his best in the 28th minute to deny the bustling Aristide Bance from a freekick.

Alain Traore had Ovono well beaten with well-take volley which he crashed against the post.

Brother and namesake, Bertrand Traore, saw his effort well saved.

At the end, Moussa Germain Sanou, was called into action to deny Armando Sipoto.

The second half was nothing to write home about.

The hosts next meet Gabon while Burkina Faso plays Congo.
