ACCRA – SOME crew officials were injured when an Ethiopian Airline plane skidded at the Kotoka International Airport in Ghana.

The incident occurred in Accra this past weekend.

Ghana Civil Aviation Authority confirmed the incident, but indicated that it was minor with the Ethiopian Airline’s three-member crew on board being treated and discharged at the 37 Military Hospital.

However, the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority insisted that it would continue with investigations to establish causes behind the Ethiopian Cargo Flight ET-AQV to skid.

The flight was from Lome in Togo when it skidded off the runway upon landing at Kotoka International Airport.

In a statement, Kotoka International Airport officials said the move did not hinder other international and local airlines from landing and flying out as the incident was quickly attended to.

“Operations at the airport are normal and flights are operating on schedule,” Kotoka International Airport stated in a statement.
