SA drivers all smiles as fuel price drops

Refilling petrol tan

JOHANNESBURG – SOUTH African motorists heaved a sigh of relief following a sharp drop in the price of fuel.

Crude oil prices came down on Wednesday when the news that Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) member states increased oil supply while demand for oil had reduced.

The reduction is attributed to the continued fall in the price of crude oil in the international market.

This has prompted prices of 93 Octane to come down R1,27 per litre, price for 95 Octane reduced by R1,23 per litre, while costs for both diesel and paraffin reduced by R1,05 and R1,44 per litre respectively.
