LAGOS – THE All Progressives Congress (APC) reiterated startling claims against the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP’s) candidate for the Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, accusing him of practicing Satanism.

“While many saw him as a junior minister in the cabinet of President Goodluck Jonathan, this PDP governorship candidate was reportedly also a minister of another administration which headquarters is located in the dark.

“Wike is said to belong to the Ogboni Fraternity, a secret order associated with satanic worship, and has initiated several Rivers young men and women.

“Like the fisherman familiar with the sea and strength of baits, Wike’s familiar trap is cash, quantum cash made irresistible,” APC claimed in a statement signed by Warisenibo Chris Finebone, Rivers State Publicity Secretary.

He described Wike’s tenure in government as failure.

“As Federal Minister for Education, State, under Jonathan, Wike’s only achievement was the closure of Nigerian universities and other higher institutions. Wike disrespected Professors and eventually set the stage for the death of Prof. Iyaye, one of Africa’s best,” APC stated.

APC said it was under Wike that Nigeria’s education suffered “bruises from which it is yet to recover.”

“Under his watch, education in Nigeria walked on all four, students staying home for about one year. Wike cared less. It took the intervention of another minister to return members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, to class rooms.

“For such a man to be asking for the governorship of Rivers State is asking for too much. The state is not for sale, and not at any prize that Wike may offer.”

Wike could not be reached for comment but has previously denied such claims.
