Mbishei wins Kenya seniors’ marathon

NAIROBI – HARD running Titus Mbishei beat stiff competition to win the just-ended Kenya’s senior men 12km race.

He crossed the line 37:12.3 minutes.

Julius Kogo was runner-up in 37:19.0 while Emmanuel Bor came third in 37:32.8.

Athletics Kenya organized the cross country race which saw Violah Kibiwott winning the women’s crown in 28:45.3 while Magdalene Masai came second in 28:52.0.

Another enterprising female athlete, Nancy Jepkemoi ,came third in 28:59.8 while Leonidah Mosop (29:04.4), Juliet Aswai (29:24.3) and Janet Masai (29:49.5) occupied fourth, fifth and sixth positions respectively.
