ACCRA – QATAR Airways is set to introduce flights between Doha and Accra, the Qatari and Ghanaian capitals respectively, early next year
Qatar Airways spokesperson, Dotsey Malor, confirmed the development saying the flight would ply Ghana Qatar routes with a potential to increase provided business environment permits.
“The Chief Executive of Qatar Airways reassured the President (John Dramani Mahama) that Qatar Airways is going to be flying daily to Accra from next year,” Malor said.
The deal sailed through following Mahama’s three day state visit to Qatar.
Ghana’s largest international airport, Kotoka International Airport (KIA) will welcome Qatar Airways.
The service is poised to boost business in the West Africa’s second largest economy.
