SAP awards customers for maintaining quality

JOHANNESBURG – ENGEN Petroleum, the South African-based oil and gas company, emerged the biggest winner at the SAP Customer Quality Awards 2014 for the Africa region.

The company scooped two awards at a glittering gala dinner held in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Engen (supported by SAP) won gold in the Rapid Deployment category as well as silver (supported by KPMG) in the Business Transformation category.

Namibia Power Corporation clinched the Innovation: Mobility award while Kenya’s Savannah Cement were winners in the same category for HANA.

Another Kenyan firm, Kapa Oil Refineries (supported by iMARK Technologies) won bronze in the Rapid Deployment category. Silver went to Babcode Africa (supported by Britehouse).

Kumba Iron Ore (supported by Accenture) won the bronze in the Business Transformation category.

Aveng Trident Steel (supported by Britehouse) won gold.

The SAP Customer Quality Awards are an annual event.

“This is a great opportunity for our customers to receive recognition for their efforts and to reflect on how the quality principles have been successfully applied to SAP projects,” Wayne Haw, SAP Quality Director, said.
