JOHANNESBURG – THE Confederation of African Football (CAF) will announce the new hosts of the 2015 Orange Africa Cup of Nations (aFCON) before end of the week.

The tournament, initially scheduled for Morocco suffered a blow recently after Morocco said it would not host the event slated for 17 January to 8 February citing ebola outbreak.

CAF President Issa Hayatou, said the tournament would go ahead as initially planned despite Morocco’s pull out.

“Wait for two or three days. You have waited for a month. The series lasted a month. It is left with 3 or 4 days, so do not be in a hurry,” Hayatou told a radio station.

He was adamant the tournament would progress despite recent setbacks.

“All I can say is that it will be played somewhere. In our press release, we announced that we had a few requests from some African federations. We have not had the time to get in touch with these federations to try to define the contours of the organization.

“Therefore, I cannot tell you where it will be played. All I can tell you is that it will take place,” Hayatou said.
