Access biggest winner in Ghana bank awards

ACCRA – ACCESS Bank Ghana Limited, rated the country’s fastest growing financial institution, said it had been voted Bank of the Year 2013 at the Ghana Banking Awards.

The awards were held in Accra this past weekend.

Access Bank Ghana Limited, the firm said, beat a cluster of other renowned banks in order to walk away with the top accolade.

The bank also pocketed first prize in Corporate Social Responsibility, emerged first Runner Up in Enterprise Finance before rounding up with the second Runner-Up in Household Finance.

Standard Chartered Bank won two awards on Financial Performance and Trade Financing while Zenith Bank clinched for the Customer Care prize with Bank of Baroda Ghana Limited winning the Competitive Pricing accolade.

Other banks recognised comprised GT Bank for Product Innovation, Royal Bank for Best Growing Bank with Agriculture, Societe General Ghana Limited bagging the Forestry and Fishing while UT Bank was voted the most Active E-zwich Bank in the country.

Fidelity Bank was named the Household Finance while 1st Atlantic Bank was chosen the Enterprise Finance with ADB walking away with the Long Term Loan Finance award.
