JOHANNESBURG – TECHNOLOGY giant – Sage on Thursday announced the appointment of Jayne Archbold as the company’s new CEO for Mid-Market Europe and chairman of the Sage ERP X3 Governance Board.
Archbold takes over the reins from incumbent Christophe Let Ellie, who quits with immediate effect.
There were no reasons given as to why Archbold was taking over the new executive role in such a huff.
Prior to his appointment, Archbold was Director of Strategic and Corporate Communications for Sage Mid-Market Europe, having held various positions across Sage Group since joining the company in 1997.
“I am extremely excited to be given the opportunity to lead Sage Mid-Market in Europe.
“Being part of the Mid-Market European story and the Sage ERP X3 Governance Board from the beginning, I am passionate about the opportunity that we have in Mid-Market with our local products and globally with Sage ERP X3,” Archbold said.
She said the last two years has seen a period of radical change and transformation with the creation of a European organisation, arguing that it was a clear road map for the company’s mid-market portfolio and an increase in growth and reputation for Sage ERP X3.
“I strongly believe in our vision, we have a solid strategy and business plan, I see highly skilled and engaged talents everywhere in the business and we have good products and services. I’m excited about what we can now achieve.”
Alvaro Ramirez, CEO Sage Europe, said: “I am delighted that Jayne is taking on this role. I have had the privilege of working closely with her for several years and know that she is passionate about Sage.
” She is an inspiring leader of people, has a critical understanding of our business, while focused on the advancement of the services we offer to customers and partners. I believe that both the European Mid-Market segment and the global Sage ERP X3 product will become truly great under Jayne’s stewardship.”
