LAGOS – THE country’s leading mobile network operators will participate at the upcoming AfricaCom, arguably the biggest such summit in the continent.

Organizers of the event scheduled for Cape Town, the South African coastal city, confirmed Airtel, Etisalat and MTN will send representatives to the summit.

AfricaCom will be held on 11-13 November at the city’s International Conference Centre.

The Nigerian firms will join their rest of the counterparts from around the continent.

According to Alexander Zenonos Business Development Manager at Informa, the United Kingdom-based organizers of the annual event, demand for participation at the event was immense.

“We have only seven stands remaining at AfricaCom. With less than five weeks to go, we are e 25 percent up on registered attendees versus 2013, so this year’s AfricaCom is set to be a storming success,” Zenonos said.

About 4 000 attendees are expected at the three-day summit in Cape Town.
