Rousing matchups in TKO quarters

JOHANNESBURG – THINGS are heating up in the Telkom Knockout (TKO) after the quarterfinal draw resulted in some interesting matchups.
At the draw conducted in Johannesburg, defending champions Platinum Stars
received arguably the trickiest encounter-coming up against a rampant
Kaizer Chiefs that has won all league and cup matches (13) this season.
Three of these victories have been recorded against Stars.
Elsewhere, Roger de Sa, who had a frost relationship with Orlando Pirates
fans during his tenure at the side, will lead his exciting Ajax cape Town
against his former employers.
Resurgent Mamelodi Sundowns have a date with bottom-side Amazulu who
caused the only upset of the tournament thus far as they knocked out
Bloemfontein Celtic.
The other quarterfinal fixture will feature an on-form Bidvest Wits
against a revived SuperSport United.
The matches will be played on October 25 at venues Premier Soccer league
will soon announce.
Wits mentor Gavin Hunt will be looking to knock his ex-employers out of
the tournament.
A thrilling opening to the Telkom Knockout saw a healthy 20 goals scored
in the eight last 16 games played across the country this past weekend.
