ABUJA – THE Military has expressed confidence in ridding Borno State of terrorists.

It pinned its hopes on the repelling of the attack on Bama where about 60 terrorists were reportedly killed.

The army could however not disclose if it suffered casualties.

“We cannot state casualty situation or figures now. Everything necessary will be done to contain the terrorists.”

The Defense Headquarters also explained that the curfew in Maiduguri was aimed at preventing infiltration into Maiduguri Metropolis by insurgents who suffered heavy casualties.

Meanwhile, it denied reports that a wounded soldier had been turned back from any military medical facility in Maimalari Barracks.

“No wounded soldier has been turned back from any Military medical facility in Maimalari Barracks or anywhere as rumoured. Such action is simply impracticable considering the very alert arrangements in ground to receive any one wounded in battle,” said the army.
