LAGOS – THE Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) alerted members of the public its website had been hacked leading to disruption of its current online company registration exercise.

The commission said it viewed the disruption as a deliberate attempt to sabotage the ongoing efforts to deploy a new online registration system by October 1, as announced by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.

It however said that all necessary steps were being taken to configure a new registration system.

Normal service would be available by Monday.

“We apologise to all our customers and the general public for the disruption and assure them of our commitment to overcome the challenges soonest,” CAC said.
