Oupa Manyisa receives trophy from Orlando Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza

JOHANNESBURG – ORLANDO Pirates midfielder, Oupa Manyisa was voted the club’s Player of the Season at a colourful ceremony on Wednesday.

For emerging Pirates’ player of the season, Manyisa walked away rich with a cool total of R150,000 accrued from both Player of Season award (R50,000) as well as being the Vodacom Player of the Season, which attracted R100,000 prize.

Another notable achiever is Bafana’s number two goalminder, Senzo Meyiwa, who scooped a double comprising Golden Glove winner with R30,000 and the Chairman’s Award accompanied by a R100,000 cheque.

Also making huge impact at the awards was Thabo Matlaba, who clinched a double as well by winning both the Dstv Goal of the Season with R30,000 as well as the Vodacom Online Player Of The Season, which attracted a cool R50,000.

Sharp shooting striker Lennox Bacela emerged the Adidas Golden Boot winner walking away with R30 000.
