Lesotho edges Kenya 1-0

MASERU – DEFIANT Lesotho soccer national team humbled Kenya’s Harambee Stars 1-0 in a tightly contested Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier played at Setsoto Stadium in Maseru on Sunday.

Lesotho needed the only strike from Tsepo Seturumane to ensure that their destiny to qualify for the prestigious Afcon finals in Morocco is much alive.

The mountain kingdom nation now requires a draw or beat Kenya again at their own backyard in order to progress to the next stage of the tournament.

However, if the Harambee Stars manage a 1-0 victory in Nairobi, then the match will be forced into extra-time or eventually lead into penalty shoot-out in order to separate the two nations.

But if the Harambee Stars beat Lesotho by 2-0 or any scoreline wider than that, they the Kenyans qualify for the next stage.
