JOHANNESBURG – BUSINESS Connexion Group Limited (BCX), the South African-based information technology services provider, has announced the appointment of Isaac Mophatlane as Chief Executive Officer.

The appointment is with effect 1 August.

Mophatlane, who is currently BCX’s Head of Sales and Marketing and Group Executive of the Canoa division, will take over the role of his late twin brother, Benjamin, who passed away last month.

BCX Chairman Tony Ruiters, confirmed the appointment.

“Isaac has an intimate understanding of the Company, its operations and culture and his appointment as BCX CEO was a natural choice,” he said.
“Benjamin’s legacy gives us a strong foundation to build upon and I look forward to continue working closely with Isaac to realise the vision and growth ambitions of BCX, both in South Africa and across the continent.”

Isaac, together with his twin brother, co-founded what was then known as Business Connection in 1996 and has held various positions within the company over the past 18 years.
