JOHANNESBURG – ORLANDO Pirates striker is emerging as the player to watch when his team faces defending champions Kaizer Chiefs in the Carling Black Label Cup later this month.

The match comes a few months after the national team striker crossed the floor from Chiefs to their sworn Soweto rivals.

The spotlight will thus be on the centerforward when the two sides lock horns on July 26 at the iconic FNB Stadium.

Ironically, Majoro scored the decider during the last edition as Chiefs beat Pirates 1-0 at the same venue located outside Johannesburg.

Nonetheless, his appearances have after that been limited by his desire to move from Chiefs and lack of fitness.

He is looking to make up for lost time though and knows that the Carling Black Label Cup provides the perfect opportunity to kick-start Pirates career.

“I want to achieve great things with the team,”Majoro said.

“I am pleased to have joined Orlando Pirates. This is a club with a rich and proud history. I want to tell the supporters that I will don this jersey with pride and I look forward to making them happy in everything I do.”

Majoro would become the first player to play for both sides in the Carling Black Label Cup.

Should he score he would also become the first player ever to net in consecutive years.
