JOHANNESBURG – THE South African Football Association (SAFA)
denied further reports it had offered Stephen Keshi the job as coach of
the senior men’s national football team.

Reports coming through and carried out by several media have quoted Keshi suggesting he had an on the table from SAFA.

SAFA President, Danny Jordaan, denied such reports.

“There is no iota of truth in this statement. SAFA has not offered any
coach the Bafana Bafana coaching job and we don’t take kindly to such
rumours,” he said.

“It is not true because SAFA has not entered into a discussion with any
coach or a representative of any coach,” he added.

Bafana Bafana, as the side is known, is without a coach after SAF sacked
Gordon Igesund.

It had been reported Keshi had resigned as the Super eagles coach in the
wake of the side failing to progress beyond the second round at the
ongoing FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
